A tailor-made 3D app for SagiCofim salespersons set in a virtual operating theatre - users configure room blueprints, apply ventilation and visualise airflow.
SagiCofim S.p.A is a high quality manufacturer of HVAC components, based in Milan, Italy. They produce complex and specialised components as well as filters that serve various key industries including healthcare. Being recently acquired by a new parent company created opportunities for growth in SagiCofim’s sales network, which they wanted to leverage.
About the project
The issue
Due to the complex nature of their products, their sales process requires deep expertise and skills from their salespeople, who were relying solely on traditional print marketing, such as leaflets, at sales pitches. They also lacked a way to effectively present their products in “real life” without presenting it as a specific reference project. They were also relying on excel sheets to do complex layouting for their clients.
Such static sales material neither sufficiently presented their solutions, nor helped them stand out from the competition.
The solution
The solution tailor-made for SagiCofim by MRstudios is an interactive 3D application that serves as a dynamic tool that accompanies salespersons. The offline, Windows based application is set within a virtual reality environment of an operating theatre where users are able to set up the room’s blueprint and apply a predefined ventilation system. Airflow and air distribution are visualised.
Convince better, with 3D visualisation
The app receives user inputs, such as the room dimensions, supply and recirculated air volume levels, number of people, exhaust air grills, and dynamically outputs the selection in a 3D visualisation.
The room, set up in a third person perspective, can be viewed, together with the ventilation system, from all angles.
In addition, the app is programmed to highlight impossible combinations that will not deliver the required amount of filtered air (e.g. a low fresh air supply for a too-big room).
An dynamic and expandable sales partner
The touchscreen app is the perfect tool for SagiCofim’s sales people or even for independent client exploration – it’s easy-to-use, engaging and visualises the intangible (airflow!), and helps SagiCofim remain top-of-mind.
The application has also been developed with the future in mind. In the near future, the application is poised to replace their existing layouting excel sheets with automatic preparation of customer layout specifications, together with the auto-generation of item lists with a price offer.
